n 2010, Dr. Maria was asked to return to the dental clinic at Hospital de Poptun, Peten to aid the growing demand of patients. People traveled by foot and traveled miles to come see the missions team. The dental mission team saw more than double the amount of patients from he previous year. In total they saw about 700 patients in five days.

The natives heard about the dental services provided the previous year and patients arrived in ten fold. There was not enough room in the waiting areas, the line extended beyond the clinic doors.

The other dentists observed Dr. Maria’s impromptu techniques for performing several procedures with limited supplies.

Many patients returned from the previous year for more dental care.

Dr. Maria had an excellent missions team to assists her in all her needs.
